On Wednesday, November 2, both our Women’s and Men’s 5vs5 Soccer Gladiators had their historic “rival” match against the American University of Rome’s Wolves, in their first official game of the University of Rome Tournaments!

Week 4 saw our Gladiators playing different games, facing important challenges. On Monday our Men’s 5on5 Soccer and Basketball teams played respectively against Link Campus in the University of Rome Championship and against Lokomotiv Prenestino in the UISP Tournament. Wednesday was a busy night for both our Men’s Soccer team playing against College Life and Basketball team playing against Unicamillus. On Thursday, our COED Volleyball took the field against Icaro team in the Oroverde Tournament. But let’s see in detail what our Gladiators went through.

On Wednesday, November 10th, the JCU Men’s Soccer team fought hard against Università Roma Tre but ultimately lost 0-1. It was a very balanced game until the last minutes when UR3 made the winning goal. Throughout the first half, the Gladiators came very close to scoring but weren’t able to pull through.

On Friday, October 23rd JCU Gladitor’s were finally able to participate in the first in-person intramural event of the semester. Five individuals; Niccolo Volpe, Fausto Perez, Francesco Felici, alumno Abdul Aboushwesha and staff member Alessandro Fucile, competed tirelessly against one another in a 1 vs. 1 Tennis Tournament at Emila De Vialar.
