After two months of hard work, it’s finally time for action! 

On Wednesday, November 2, both our Women’s and Men’s 5vs5 Soccer Gladiators had their historic “rival” match against the American University of Rome’s Wolves, in their first official game of the University of Rome Tournaments! 

The event had an amazing turnout with over 100 spectators cheering on their Gladiators. Also, for the first time, the Gladiator Cheerleaders and Maximus Mascot performed and made the most exciting atmosphere. The night ended with a big win from the Men’s team and a good fight from the Women’s.

Athletic Coordinator, Marco Iorio, was pleased with how the event turned out.

“We always love seeing support for the Gladiators, we know that sometimes the matches are not easy to get to so we are happy to provide transportation for the first game. We hope to do this again next semester!”
