At John Cabot University, the end of the academic year is not just a time to reflect on academic achievements, but also to celebrate the vibrant student life on campus. The Student Life Celebration is an annual event that recognizes students who have excelled in various aspects of campus life, from athletics to residential life, from student-clubs to community service.
This year’s celebration honored the traditional athletic awards, including the “Gladiators Spirit” award, which recognizes students who have contributed to the growth of the athletics department through volunteer work. The “Players of the Year” award went to the most talented and impactful players on each team (Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Cheerleading, and Tennis), while the “Most Improved Players” award recognized students who showed significant improvement in both performance and team spirit.
In addition to the athletic awards, the “JCU Strava Challenge” winners were also recognized. This challenge, which encouraged students, faculty, and staff to exercise regularly and log their activities on the Strava app, was a great success, with many participants working hard to reach the predetermined goal of hours. Thanks to their daily efforts, John Cabot University was able to donate to the volunteer organization Vo.Re.Co.
The event was attended by many students and featured a stunning performance by the JCU Cheerleaders and Maximus, the university’s mascot. The ceremony provided a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the diversity and energy of the JCU community beyond academic excellence.
