Yesterday, October 3rd, our Gladiators participated in the Coed 5on5 Soccer that the Athletics Department organized for the 10th Anniversary of JCU President Pavoncello’s leadership and for donating money to help out the victims of the earthquake in Amatrice.
Thirty JCU students and staff made up five different teams:
TEAM A: DREAM TIME (Dwain Venegas, Abdelhaq El Mansouri, Anastasya Katashinskaya, Pamela Contreras, Pietro Sopranzi, Julien Munnia)
TEAM B: FAM TEAM (Olivia Slaughter, Giovanni Maria Ronco, Giovanni Raguso, Matteo Caporicci, Hugo Mancia, Jacqueline Burdan)
TEAM C: I’M LITERALLY DYING (Victoria Burton, Katelynn Cunningham, Emily Funston, Maria Vittoria Albezzano, Isabella de Oliveira, Serfaino Pinna Vodret)
TEAM D: AS ROMA 1927 (Francesco Porzio, Giacomo Zonchello, Riccardo Pasetto, Soalandy Barbier, Ennio Gianni, Abdulmagid Aboushwesha)
TEAM E: WOMEN EMPOWERMENT (Tania Luna-de Alva, Jan-Michael Puttar, Alessandro Sabelli, Paolo Farina, Valeria Muzzin, Katarina Francis)
After playing against each other, Team D won the first place. Marco Iorio, the Athletics Coordinator, expresses its gratitude to all team players for their contribution, as 130€ have been collected to help the rebuilding of Amatrice.

The Athletics Department wishes to thank all the people involved in the initiative and is looking forward to see everyone in the prize-giving ceremony that will be held in the President’s Terrace (Guarini Campus, right above to the Kushlan Terrace) tomorrow, Wednesday, October 5th, at 3:30PM.
