The third round of the Universities of Rome Championship BK3 took place last night at Sapienza Sport where our JCU Men’s Basketball team faced the remaining three teams in the qualifying rounds – Università Europea di Roma (UER), Roma 3 University (R3), and The American University of Rome (AUR).

After last-week defeat against All Reds Basket (ARB), JCU Men’s Basketball team comes back more prepared for the re-match of the UISP tournament, last night. Our Gladiators sweep the opponents in a dominating performance, winning with a significant score gap of 20 points, 60-80 [8-26; 14-17; 17-16; 20-21].

A great performance of JCU Women’s 5vs5 Soccer team who faced Università Europea di Roma (UER), the current top team in the Universities of Rome Championship. Despite our Lady Gladiators dominated most of the game, it wasn’t enough to defeat the opponents who were able to perform a come back in the second half and win the game, 4-3.

It was not our JCU Men’s Basketball team best performance last night in the UISP tournament. With only five numbered players present at the game, our Gladiators suffered more towards the end and allowed All Reds Basket (ARB) to take the win in the last quarter, 47-53.
