Despite a hard-fought battle, Link Campus emerged victorious with a 3-0 win, securing victories in both the men’s single and the double matches at the tie-break. “The tennis team challenged opponents of a higher level than in previous matches, and all the games were very evenly matched. In the end, the Erasmus’ slightly greate experience prevailed, but Vittoria and Federico fought until the end, losing only in the tiebreak in both the men’s singles and doubles, showing some good improvements at times. It’s unfortunate not to secure any points from today, but I’m confident they’ll bounce back in the next one!” said Athletics Coordinator Marco Iorio.

“The team is trying to react to the difficulties encountered earlier in the season. Besides there is a lot to work on, with everyone’s availability and will, we will be able to do improve. Those who make sacrifices and fight to improve are certainly on the right path. The positive note is the great reaction the team had in this match. After going 2-0 down, risking to concede more goals to the opponents, the boys managed to get back into the game at the end and to almost win” reported coach Marian.

“I’m happy about our team’s win, especially because we did not concede a goal to the opponents, and because some of our players had the chance to get some satisfaction after being just back from an injury. It was important to practice new defensive situations in the match for future games, as one of those will be very difficult”, said coach Beatrice Boni at the end of the game.
