JCU Gladiators Shine at the Cardio Race 2025!

On Sunday, October 5th, the John Cabot University community laced up their running shoes and took part in the Cardio Race at the Ippodromo Capannelle in Rome — an inspiring charity event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for cardiovascular disease research.

Led by our running instructor Alessio, the JCU Running Team proudly represented the Gladiators spirit with a group of four participants: students Mencía and Meredith, and Professor Lindsay, and Alessio himself — who impressively took 2nd place overall!

The event brought together hundreds of runners from across Rome, all united by a shared goal: promoting heart health and supporting scientific research. It was a day full of energy, smiles, and community spirit — and a powerful reminder of how sport can make a real difference.

A huge thank you to the Cardio Race organizational staff for hosting such an incredible event and to everyone who joined and cheered for the cause. Your enthusiasm and dedication continue to make the JCU Athletics community stronger than ever!
