A Fantastic Friday on the Sand: Beach Volleyball Intramural Debuts

Last Friday morning, the sand was set, the net was up, and the energy was high as the Gladiators community gathered for the first edition of our Beach Volleyball Intramural.

Hosted by Beach Volley Academy at Monteverde Club, the event brought together students from across John Cabot University for a morning of sport, fun, and community.

From the very first serve, the atmosphere was exactly what intramural sports are all about: a perfect balance of fun and friendly competition. Teams rotated throughout the morning, diving for saves, celebrating great rallies, and encouraging one another regardless of the scoreline. Whether participants were experienced players or stepping onto the sand for the first time, everyone contributed to an environment that was welcoming, energetic, and inclusive.

We would like to extend a special thank you to all the students who showed up ready to play, connect, and represent the Gladiator spirit. Your enthusiasm, teamwork, and sportsmanship made this inaugural event a true success. It was inspiring to see new friendships formed courtside and to watch classmates support each other with such positivity and determination.

We are also grateful to our hosts for providing a fantastic venue and support, helping ensure that the event ran smoothly and that everyone could enjoy a high-quality beach volleyball experience in a relaxed and nice setting.

It was, without a doubt, a great Friday morning, and just the beginning. We look forward to building on this momentum and welcoming even more participants at our upcoming intramurals. Stay tuned for future events, and get ready to bring the same energy, passion, and Gladiator pride.

See you on the court again soon!
