The new semester is here, and with it comes the excitement of welcoming our Spring 2026 Gladiators teams.
After days of energetic and well-attended tryouts, our coaching staff has finalized this semester’s rosters, selecting the student-athletes who will represent John Cabot University in competition.
Tryouts once again showcased an incredible level of passion, determination, and talent. The selection process was anything but easy, as so many students stepped forward eager to challenge themselves and wear the Gladiators colors. This enthusiasm is what continues to make our athletics community so special.
Congratulations to Our New Team Members
To those who have earned a spot on this semester’s teams, congratulations! Your commitment, effort, and performance have brought you here, and we are excited to see you grow, compete, and represent the Gladiators spirit throughout the season. Being part of a varsity team is not only about competition; it is about teamwork, respect, perseverance, and pride in representing our university both on and off the court.
We look forward to watching you train, bond with your teammates, and carry forward the tradition of sportsmanship and excellence that defines our program.
A Thank You to Everyone Who Tried Out
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the students who participated in the tryouts, including those who were not selected this time. Seeing such a large number of sport enthusiasts willing to step up and be part of the Gladiators family was truly inspiring. Your energy, courage, and willingness to challenge yourselves are what keep our community vibrant and growing.
Not making a team this semester does not close the door. We encourage you to keep training, stay active, and try again next semester.

Whether competing on the field or cheering from the sidelines, every student can play a role in building our unique spirit of community through sport.
As we begin this new semester, we are excited for what lies ahead and grateful to everyone who continues to make the Gladiators program such an enthusiastic and welcoming environment.

Highlights of Spring ’26 varsity teams’ season
On February 11th we will celebrate the Gladiators’ spirit at the Pep Rally, at San Paolo Ostiense court, in occasion of Volleyball and Women’s Basketball home games. Our cheerleading team will perform and support our Gladiators!
This semester, delegations from Women’s and Men’s Basketball, and Women’s Volleyball teams will travel to Ikast, Denmark, for a retreat and international tournament, April 9-12.
All teams will keep playing in the University of Rome Championships which will end with the finals on April 18th.
The following Tuesday, April 21st, we will celebrate all students life’s activities, during the usual yearly ceremony which will be held on Guarini Campus.
To greatly end the semester, we will host our official Cabot Games on April, 28th!
