Watch Out for Maximus The Mascot: He’s Getting Famous!

And the Oscar goes to…Ok! Maybe, this is a little too much, but what an excitement to see JCU Athletics mascot Maximus as the protagonist of a movie! 🙂

A few weeks ago, Maximus featured in the original movie See you Later Gladiator that a group of JCU students created for their Video Production class.

The movie talks about the story of young student, Julia, who remains trapped inside the mascot suit due to an ancient curse, which regularly unleashes its power every year on June 1st.

An interesting storyline that mixes up the old and the new and sees the characters running through the streets of Rome in an attempt to solve the mystery behind the Gladiator mascot curse. A breathless race to save Julia and break the curse!

The movie stars:

Julia Guimaraes (also JCU Athletics fromer Zumba Instructor) as Julia
Arianna Gray as Ari
J. Nicholas Nadeau as Nick
Andrew Mixson as Andy
Omri Raizman as Marco

…And the Special GuestMaximus The Mascot

Congratulations to the students who did an amazing job!
