JCU Coed Volleyball Team was created in 2013, and it immediately started to compete in the Universities of Rome Championship.

That same year, our Gladiators won the first Tournament against Europea di Roma, and Mateo Micucci, JCU outside hitter/wing spiker was awarded Best Player of the match.

Although JCU has never won the first place again in the following years, our team has always been able to get on the podium by ranking second or third.

In 2016, Roberta Falvo, JCU setter, was awarded Best Player of the tournament.

In 2019, our Gladiators competed in two different tournaments, the Universities of Rome Championship and the Oroverde Tournaments. Unfortunately, our team could not make it to the podium, but many of our new student-athletes demonstrated substantial improvements. At the end of the season, our Captain Veronica Rusich passed the torch to Flaminia Giacomi. For the first time, a women’s delegation from our Coed Volleyball team also participated in the 2019 ACG International Sports Festival.
