Last night @ Trastevere Stadium… All three of our JCU soccer teams competed in the semifinals!!

Our Lady Gladiators competed against Foro Italico, and completely dominated the game from the beginning, resulting in an end score of 8-1!!

Katelynn Cunningham was the first and second player to score in the beginning of the game, with Tori Barton scoring the third, Emily Funston scoring the fourth, Maria Martynovych with the fifth, Emily Funston again with the sixth, Nicole Luvisotti with the seventh, and Claudia Calselli with the 8th and final goal…. Almost every player on the team was able to score, showing their incredible ability to work consistently well together as a team.. Congratulations ladies – we know that you’ll do fantastic in the finals!

Our men’s 5v5 team competed against The American University of Rome and although they lost 1-5, the team got very close to scoring multiple times and had a lot of good chances even if they only were able to score once.  They played well together as a team and really tried their best!

Our men’s team played against ESN United and unfortunately, lost 0-3.  Even if the end of the season has been a bit rocky for the men’s team, overall they had a very good season and will come back even stronger in the fall.
