On Wednesday, November 15th, our Athletics Coordinator Marco Iorio and all three of our soccer team captains (Valeria Muzzin, Riccardo Vallese, Marco Fortuna) as well as Francesco Giordano from our coed basketball team, were featured on the Italian television program, ‘Pianeta Sport TV’ to discuss and represent JCU Athletics!
Last night at Virgilio high school, our coed volleyball team played at 9:15 pm against the Iorio’s team in a tough, but fun match! We also had a special guest appearance from the JCU Gladiator mascot at our pregame pep rally – with music, pizza, and good vibes!
Last night, the ‘Gladiators Pep Rally’ was held at Trastevere Stadium right before all three of our JCU soccer team’s competed in games – the women’s and men’s 5v5 played against the American University of Rome while our men’s 11v11 team competed against Erasmus in Campus.
We also got to see a performance from our Gladiator mascot and JCU cheerleaders, as they pumped up our players and fans for the game! Overall, it was a great turnout of supporters and we were happy to see so many people cheering on our teams and showing some JCU spirit!
Last night, the 11v11 soccer Universities of Rome Championship began! Immediately a difficult task for our men’s team as they were about to compete against last year’s champions of Link Campus University!
