Hey Gladiators!!

We first want to give a warm welcome to all the new and returning students.
And now that Orientation Week is over, we can start thinking about serious business, that means, the Spring 2018 Sports Season is about to begin for our varsity teams, so get ready for tryouts!!

Tryouts will be held this week starting from today Monday, January 15th until Thursday, January 18th.

#BeingAGladiator – JCU Cheerleaders

Our varsity soccer, coed volleyball, and coed basketball teams make up a large portion of the activities that happen within JCU Athletics, but behind the games, a team is developing that could quite possibly be seen as the most important part of JCU spirit and pride…

The JCU Cheerleading team has become the voices of our players and students – we know that this Spring semester we will see this team grow!

#BeingAGladiator – Women’s Soccer

After winning the Universities of Rome Championship last season (2016/17), our women’s soccer team, the Lady Gladiators, still remain as strong of a team as ever – even with the constant shifting of players due to the increasingly growing number of students that study abroad at JCU every semester. Nevertheless, the returning veteran players build chemistry with our new players and consistently make each semester successful. Our JCU Lady Gladiators are currently 2nd place in the league standings, right behind Foro Italico.

#BeingAGladiator – Men’s 11v11 Soccer

Another semester has come and gone, ending just as quickly as it began. Each semester, we are lucky enough to meet students from all over the world that want to participate in JCU varsity sports, either studying abroad or seeking a degree, and represent JCU pride – ultimately becoming true JCU Gladiators!

Recap of Final Soccer Games-End of Fall 17′ Semester

Last week, the FINAL two days of games were held for all three of the JCU soccer teams – men’s 11v11, men’s futsal, and women’s! This has been such a great semester for these teams – especially because it was the last semester for the men’s 11v11 captain, Riccardo Vallese, forward Lukas Loishacker (both are graduating) and some excellent study abroad players that will unfortunately be returning to their home universities as the Fall 2017 semester comes to an end.
