This week… our JCU varsity teams participated in their final games of the season. This was a successful year for all teams, especially for our women’s soccer team that WON the championship on Wednesday!
Wednesday, our Lady Gladiators competed against Universita Cattolica in the final for first place in the league, and they WON, 5-1!!!! This was an incredible night for the JCU women’s soccer team as they worked so hard for this win all season – this also marks the second championship for our women’s soccer team, as the last time was during the 2014/15 season! We’re so proud of these girls as they displayed the absolute epitomy of JCU pride and determination, never giving up..

On Monday, the Men’s Basketball 3v3 Uni Tournament against The American University of Rome and Foro Italico at the PalaTorrino court.ย The score ended in 25-17, 25-20, and 25-22.ย Although they lost, they arrived in 2nd place in the league and were playing strong all semester!
Last night at PalaTorrino.. the JCU coed volleyball team played against Foro Italico in the match that would determine the first and second place winners of the league. They arrived in second, but the match was incredibly close as it ended 25-22 in the third set! Congratulations to our volley team!!
Our men’s 5v5 soccer team arrived 3rd in the league and our men’s soccer team placed 7th in the league – it proved to be a challenging semester and year for our 2 men’s soccer teams, but there is always the opportunity in the future to come back even stronger!
We’re incredibly proud of our JCU varsity sports teams for a great season and a great semester, congratulations again Gladiators!
