This Monday, October 23rd a ceremony will be held in the Hall of Honor at the CONI Palace that will mark the 13th edition of the Universities of Rome tournament! JCU representatives (some of our players and staff) will be attending.

“The thirteenth edition of the Universities of Rome promoted by the Sports Coordination of the Universities of Rome and technically managed by Time Sport Roma, with the collaboration of the Sports Association Acli of Rome and the Association of Roman Arbiters (ARA), is officially inaugurated in Rome with the support of Coni Lazio, Rome Capital and Fair Play Italia. The official presentation ceremony will take place on Monday, October 23, 2017, in the Hall of Honor of the CONI Palace. The best sportsmen selected by the universities in Rome will play up until April, 2018 in football, five-men and men’s football, coed volleyball, basketball, tennis and beach volleyball. The soccer championship came to the thirteenth edition and last year saw Link Campus University triumph. The five-year-old football championship is at its twelfth edition and the champions in charge are of John Cabot University. Coed volleyball saw its sixth edition and saw the Foro Italico university triumph during the 2016-2017 season. The University of Piazza Lauro de Bosis has also triumphed in the 5-men soccer field as well as in basketball. Eight universities are currently involved: Università degli Studi di Roma Foro Italico, Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli, Università degli Studi Link Campus University, John Cabot University, The American University of Rome, Temple University, which will be joined by two representatives of Erasmus,that is, Erasmus in Campus and ESN Roma Tre. All matches in the various sports will be played at the fields of the undergraduate disciplines. The Gold Network will follow the event entirely during the broadcast “Pianeta Sport” conducted by Paolo Anedda. Negotiations will be made by the ACA (football and football at 5) and the US Acli of Rome (basketball and volleyball).”
