After a well-deserved winter break, the John Cabot University Gladiators are back in action, ready to conquer the sports scene on campus. Last week marked the commencement of tryouts for the seven JCU teams, covering Men’s Soccer, Women’s and Men’s 5v5 Soccer, Coed Volleyball, Basketball, Cheerleading, and Tennis. While not everyone was selected, we encourage our students to explore the possibility of joining one of our other teams or participating in our recreational sports activities.

Exciting news for the Gladiators this semester includes their third participation in the international tournament organized by the American College of Greece in Athens. From April 9 to 13, the women’s volleyball, men’s basketball, and tennis teams will travel to Greece for this eagerly awaited tournament, making a comeback after the pandemic hiatus. Heartfelt thanks to Athletics Director Theodore Priskomatis for the invitation.

As we embark on the second half of the season, we extend our best wishes to the new rosters. May this semester be filled with victories, camaraderie, and sportsmanship.
