Last night at Trastevere Stadium, the men’s soccer team played a challenging and close game against Luiss, currently one of the best teams in the league, that ended in a surprising 2-2 tie!!
Game Report
Luiss was able to score 2 goals in the first half, but in the last 20 seconds of extra time, José Ortega of our JCU Gladiators scored the first goal!
Luiss had a difficult second half as one of their players received a yellow card, and another player received a red. At nine minutes into the second half, our Gladiators played especially hard for another goal and scored again, with Tommaso Ferrucci making his first goal of the season! Congrats Tommaso!
Our MVP of the game was #8, Francisco Ortega!
All of our JCU players did an incredible job and worked phenomenally together as a team, great job guys!
The next men’s soccer game will be an away game on Wednesday, November 23rd at 9 PM against Foro Italico at the Giulio Onesti field!
Save the date and come out to support our Gladiators! 🙂
