The fall semester is officially underway at John Cabot University, and with it comes one of the most exciting times of the year: Gladiators teams tryouts!
This first week set the tone for what promises to be an incredible season, as the Men’s Soccer, Cheerleading, and Tennis teams were the first to hold their tryout sessions. From the soccer pitch to the tennis court to the cheer mats, the atmosphere was filled with energy, talent, and determination.

A Strong Start for Gladiators Athletics in Rome
Our Gladiators wasted no time showing what it means to wear the JCU colors. The turnout was impressive, with students from all over the world bringing their passion for sports and school spirit to the first week of tryouts.
- Men’s Soccer drew fierce competition, with new players eager to join one of JCU’s most followed teams.
- Cheerleading brought incredible energy, showcasing spirit and teamwork right from day one.
- Tennis highlighted skill and focus, with strong rallies and serves setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.
For our coaches, this means one thing: an extremely challenging decision when it comes to building final rosters. But that’s what we love to see—Gladiators who push themselves and raise the bar.
