On Wednesday, September 28th, the basketball derby JCU vs VIRTUS SR BASKET took place at the newly renewed gym of the Colle La Salle Institute.

Five different 10-minute matches were played: Virtus SR Basket – JCU 13-5, 13-16, 16-11, 13-12, 13-7.

The JCU players that participated in the derby were Mattia Matteucci, Savraj Gill, Aakash Shah, Martin Luna, James Norman, Anthony Johnson-Ballinger, and Khaison Dung.

According to the coach, Francesco Serraino, our Gladiators performed very well and demonstrated their abilities individually and as part of the JCU Coed Basketball team. “There’s still the need to work all together and to improve our teamwork, but I’m very satisfied because all the players are committed and very skilled.”

As agreed by the coaches of both teams, we will see another friendly game JCU vs VIRTUS SR BASKET very soon! Good luck Gladiators and keep working hard!
