After two weeks of intense tryouts, determination, and competition, the wait is finally over.

The John Cabot University Gladiators are proud to announce the athletes selected to represent the University during the Fall 2026 season. Across our eight varsity teams, student-athletes have earned the opportunity to wear the white and blue and become part of a tradition that extends far beyond sports.

To all those who made the roster: congratulations.

Your commitment, effort, perseverance, and passion brought you to this moment. Through every sprint, every drill, every practice session, and every challenge, you demonstrated what it means to be a Gladiator. Being selected is an achievement that should be celebrated, and we are excited to see what you will accomplish throughout the season.

At the same time, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every student who participated in the tryouts. The level of competition, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship displayed over these two weeks was truly inspiring. Putting yourself out there, stepping onto the field, the court, the track, or into the arena requires courage, and every participant contributed to making this selection process a memorable one.

But earning a place on a Gladiators team is only the beginning.

Being a Gladiator means embracing a responsibility that goes beyond athletic performance. Our student-athletes serve as ambassadors of John Cabot University both on and off the field. They represent not only themselves and their teammates, but also the values of our university community: excellence, respect, integrity, dedication, and teamwork.

This season, our Gladiators will compete against universities from across Rome in the Rome Universities Championship, taking on some of the city’s strongest collegiate programs. Every match, every game, and every competition will be another opportunity to showcase the talent, character, and spirit that define JCU Athletics.

The journey does not stop there.

This November, our teams will proudly represent John Cabot University on an international stage at the World InterUniversities Championships in Bratislava. Competing against student-athletes from universities around the world is both an incredible opportunity and an important responsibility. It is a chance to wear the white and blue with pride, build friendships across cultures, and demonstrate the values that make the Gladiators community unique.

As the season begins, we ask our athletes to remember what these colors stand for. Success is measured not only by victories and results, but also by leadership, commitment, respect for opponents, and support for teammates. Every training session, every competition, and every interaction is an opportunity to represent John Cabot University with pride and uphold the Gladiators Spirit.
