This week starting on Tuesday, Feb. 21st, the women and men’s soccer teams played great teams and great games.  We also held a very successful spring semester BK3 tournament!

Our women’s soccer team played an away game against Europea di Roma at the Empire field and won, 1-10!!!!! Our Lady Gladiators have really been playing phenomenally this spring and will without a doubt continue to be featured on the home page of the soccer league’s website!

The men’s soccer team played a game against Foro Italico, currently number one in the league, and although they lost 2-0, they played an incredible game and never gave up, even with missing players due to injury or yellow cards – the guys really pulled together and worked well as a team, especially in spite of Foro Italico being a very difficult team.

Our 3v3 spring semester basketball tournament was also held on Tuesday at Virgilio high school, and was a success! Faculty, professors and students all played together in friendly matches and had a lot of fun 🙂 A recap of the BK3 tournament can be found on the basketball page of the blog!

We’re very proud of all of the students that participated in the matches and athletic events this week – keep up the great team work guys!

Next week there will be men’s, women’s and men’s 5v5 away and home soccer games, so come out and support your fellow classmates and Gladiators!
